We are delighted to have been awarded joint first place alongside Mary Tavy & Brentor Primary School for the best dressed Christmas Tree, a competition organised by Tavistock Round Table. The Round Table presented a cheque for £100 to the school today which will be used to buy reading books for the children.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...the Nativity scene is on display, the postbox is ready for Christmas cards, the tree which was kindly donated by the Round Table has been beautifully decorated with decorations made by children at both the Breakfast and After-School Clubs. The Foundation Stage children are working hard practising their Nativity play.

Children in Years 1 to 6 have enjoyed a fantastic performance of 'The Boy Who Climbed into the Moon' by Theatre Alibi today. The purpose of this performance was to inspire creative writing.

Thank you to all the families who supported our Children in Need and Junior Diabetes Research fundraising event today, pupils were invited to either wear a onesie or spots! The school raised £409.00.

Children enjoyed a variety of different art activities across the school today as part of this term's Art Enrichment Day. Completed art work will be used on our Christmas Tree display at St Eustachius Church.

Children observed a 2 minute silence at 11.00am today following an explanation from Mrs Selbie about the sacrifices made by service men and women in conflicts around the world, past and present.

Forest School pupils were very mischievious yesterday leaving scarecrows dotted around the school! Have a fun and safe Bonfire Night.
Children at both the Breakfast Club and After-School Club are really enjoying their new environment, we hope that this new setting provides a home from home atmosphere.
Thank you to parents and friends who have supported various HSA fundraising events. The HSA very kindly donated £7,000 towards our new library project. This has enabled the school to re-stock the whole library with new books. We now have a fantastic variety of interesting and engaging books for children of all ages to choose from.
Year 1 and 2 children were very excited to see their newly installed interactive whiteboards today, although a few were disappointed when they realised that it was not a big T.V.!
Nursery staff have been busy moving into their new classroom today ready for children tomorrow. We are delighted with the extra space that this will provide for our youngest children.
Delighted that our new Reception toilets are now completed and ready for children to use.

Thank you to all our families and friends for your generous donations for our Harvest Festival this morning and also for supporting the service at St Eustachius.
Food donations will be given to the local Foodbank to help families in the Tavistock area.

Thank you to the members of the Home School Association for organising such a yummy Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning today.
A huge thank you to all the children and families who supported our Cancer Research Sponsored Run at the end of the Summer Term, we raised an amazing £3,357 for this charity.
Congratulations to our new House Captains who were selected following their presentations to Mrs Selbie and the children and staff from years 5 and 6.
Thank you to the Home School Association and the Governors' 50/50 Club for supporting our new library project.
