Meet the SENDCO

I am Mrs Thompson, and I am proud to serve as the SENDCo at Tavistock Primary and Nursery School.

At Tavistock, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging and is supported to thrive throughout their time with us. As a school team, we work closely together to ensure that all pupils receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.

I welcome regular meetings with parents and carers to discuss your child’s individual needs and to ensure we fully understand how best to support them. I also work closely with class teachers to provide the best possible nursery and primary school experience for every child in our care.

If you have any concerns regarding your child’s Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND), please contact your child’s class teacher in the first instance. However, I am always happy to offer additional support and guidance whenever it is needed.

I am usually in school on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you require support when I am not in school, please contact Mrs Collett (Deputy Headteacher) or Miss Byrom (Headteacher), who will be happy to assist you.
