Ofsted Summary

Tavistock Primary and Nursery School was last inspected by Ofsted in July 2024. The report highlighted several strengths across the school and recognised the positive relationships, caring ethos and commitment of staff to supporting all pupils.

Since the inspection, we have continued to build on the areas identified for improvement and have implemented a number of developments across teaching, learning, behaviour and personal development. Our focus has been on strengthening the curriculum, refining assessment approaches and ensuring consistently high expectations in every classroom.

As the school was inspected in 2024, we expect Ofsted to return for a follow‑up inspection within two years of that date, under the updated Ofsted framework. We continue to prepare for this by reviewing our provision, monitoring progress closely and ensuring that pupils receive a high‑quality education every day.

We are proud of the progress made since the last inspection and remain fully committed to providing the very best experiences and outcomes for all children at Tavistock Primary and Nursery School.
